Severine is a performance artist from Cape Town, South Africa and derives from a strong background in classical and contemporary dance theatre. Having graduated from the Cape Academy of Performing Arts and studied acting for film further at ACT Cape Town, Severine is involved in mixed media art forms between theatre, film and immersive art platforms in dance, acting and experimental work and is based in London.
Severine is also a workshop facilitator and mentor through an arts based practice supporting young people and adults with learning disabilities, challenging circumstances and those in pupil referral units. Keep the act alive is an NPO located in South Africa, which Severine is the co founder and director, working closely with women and children living in poverty stricken areas in Cape Town and surrounds.
